Gathering Ingredients:
To make this dazzling Hocus Pocus mixed drink, you will need to gather a few key ingredients!
Cranberry Juice. I love the flavor blend of cranberry, grape, and cherry! This drink is surprisingly sweet. The cranberry juice helps create the deep red color.
Grape Juice.
Lime Juice. You will want to use freshly squeezed lime juice.
Cherry Syrup. If you cannot find cherry syrup, simple syrup with a tiny bit of red food coloring works as a substitute.
Bourbon. If you are wanting to create a mocktail version, you can replace the bourbon with zero proof whiskey or simply omit this ingredient.
Club Soda. For a lovely fizz! You can substitute with Sprite or 7-Up.
Cherry Cola.
Blood Red Glaze. This is used to create the lovely blood red drip around the rim of the glass!
Red Sanding Sugar.
How to Make Vampire Bite Shots:
Step One: To a pitcher or cocktail shaker, add the cranberry juice, grape juice, lime juice, cherry syrup, and bourbon or zero proof whiskey, if using. Shake well to combine, about 1 minute.
Step Two: Add the club soda and cherry soda and gently stir to combine. Keep the mixture chilled until ready to use.
Step Three: To the outer rim of your shot glasses, decorate with some Blood Red Glaze, creating drips down the sides of the glass to look like blood. Roll the top edge of the glass in red sanding sugar for a sparkly look.
Step Four: When ready to serve, fill the shot glasses with the mixed drink. Serve immediately.

Notes
*Easily prep ahead and make this mixed drink before your guests arrive. Mix the drinks together and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. The soda will begin to fall flat over time, so it's best to mix this up only a couple of hours before serving, or wait to add the soda until just before serving.
